Hi, I'm new in this forum and would like to ask for advice on the use of wall stratigraphies on revit 2018. having created a wall with four layers (1-external coating, 2-insulation, 3-structure, 4-intonac) I need to display only the structural elements (state3) in the structural plants and all the layer in the architectural plants. is it possible to manage the display in this sense? I can't find in the display settings a way to display only part of the wall layers and at this point I don't know if it is possible. Do I need to create multiple coon walls different functions? one for every layer I need and at that point manage the wall elements for the display I need. I thank everyone who will respond to me since I have always found this forum useful even though I am only enrolled today.

I thank you for the answer but I don't understand how to handle the display. My problem is like that dealt with in this question https://www.cad3d.it/forum1/threads/materiale-strutturale.33949/ but once I divide the wall into the various independent stratigraphies how do I manage visualization? Should I replace visibility to each layer individually? I thank you so much, as a beginner I cannot find the solution

for revit ver. 2015
is as you say for substitution of vg to each layer;
or you should draw non-structural layers such as architectural (as you said in the first post) and with a unique vg setting make the lines of such layers invisible.
p.s. I do not know if in the following versions of 2015 we proceed in another way.

in the vg command settings I can decide to "think" the walls elements, so all the layer. how do I manage the individual stratigraphies as they belong to the same type of element? Maybe I don't know how it works. . Mi sembra una soluzione complessa rispetto alla semplicità con cui si può disegnare su revit.]Thank you for the answers you have given me that I have been very helpful!

you are not working for "materials", but for "discipline" (structural/architectonic). in the properties are already present the display selectors for discipline, which you can further customize in the vg
Keep in mind that setting the vg of a view, you can save and transfer it (set) to other views

I still don't understand. from the vg settings I can choose whether to display the wall element, so either I see it all or I don't see it at all.
if I change discipline of a view from the properties I have two cases:
-muro designed by the architecture card displayed with active architecture discipline, not displayed with active structural discipline;
-muro designed by the structure card displayed with active architecture discipline, displayed with active structural displine. (structural structure visible in both cases!)
if I divide the stratigraphy with command manage stratigraphy the wall in question remains visible to me regardless of which discipline I activate.
I'm getting smart, but I probably miss a few steps to understand the matter.
