I do commonly analyse carpentry structures with other midas/sap/robot software.

in trying to do the same thing with inventor I can't:
- perform an analysis that only loads the weight of the entire model
- understand the difference between force and pressure
- how do I set a concentrated nodal load at a point?
- How do I set a linear load?
- how do I set an agent load on an axb surface placed in a given position on a model face?

You asked little... :smile:
- to consider the weight of objects, you must add a gravity load, specifying the direction of the object;
- with force specific a total force that applies on a certain area, with pressure precisely a pressure, which generates a total force given by f = p x (area on which it is applied);
- to apply a load on a narrow area of a face, you change the part and you make a division of the face in question by doing the sketch of the desired area (to me it seems absurd that there are no tools integrated into the environment solicitation analysis to specify precisely where the loads are applied, but it is so)
