good morning, regarding the structural dimensioning of an industrial boiler, can someone give me some examples or links to see what it is?
I found nothing in the forums..
Thank you.

It seems a little vague question. My first job was in the power boiler industry. We had an entire engineering department dealing with it. we say that the base is the norm for pressure vessels (ped). the system must be classified and on the basis of the classification there are rules to be adopted for the design..

is it for the occasional performance? If so, beautiful bitch you got....
Hi.

It's nothing to do with the performance... it's just a curiosity. Are they basically piping stones? or are there any other types of analysis? type stability, sisma, wind etc...

I can answer you as regards industrial boilers (power generation >200mwth). here you have two types of calculations to do:

- pressure calculator, then pipes, collectors, plugs of collectors, vents etc. Besides the various formulas of the classic tubes you must consider all fittings, welds, etc.
-stetric calculus "external", therefore support structures, which must be verified statically, to sisma, wind etc..

In general I think that this also applies to smaller projects, of course on a scale. I repeat to make these calculations you need a dedicated engineering study.

Could you send me a link where I can see some examples? just for my curiosity

I honestly have nothing. I could search online but it would be like you did it. I have never dealt with the subject in person. I know the issues because I coordinated some r&d activities that involved the structural part, but I never entered the calculations. I've always tried to stay as far away as I can. .
