Good evening to all, I immediately pass to my first question,
I look for a method that allows me (without pdm):
-design trees and turning of various ø and lengths and processing
- quickly find similar things already done
-which sets in separate (the excel table which can be created and exported) the material used the ns. code for that material/dimension and the length automatically (e.g. n°3 traverso_di_union trafilato_ø50_inox code_material_in_123456 l=503mm)
we have many pieces of "form" equal but of different sizes, simplifying with an example you could think of a simple ø traverse from 20 to 50 (pass 5mm) and l= from 200 to 1000 (mixed various/infinite) with threads in the head ma8/10/12/14 x 20/25/30.
every time we need a traverse like this we would like to always take the same file "through_of_union" from our library, use the configurations to choose the one already designed and encoded in the past or create a new configuration and then change ø filet length code.
In order to be able to have the internal material code in the table, I had thought to create a structural member for each ø and assign them the ns internal code, so I could have put in configuration also the ø and every change ø I would have automatically changed the code attached to it that would be reported in table excel.
Now, the configurations are not too clear, I tried with some diameter but I happen that when I change the length of the extrusion in a configuration it also changes me in all the others, making it useless.
would you tell me if the method used is correct or how would you manage all those variables in one file?
