Are they extracted from the vault? or alternatively, am I alone reading?

are files contained in a nominated library folder (which is protected and I don't know how to protect it) a network hdd..the vault didn't...I found that if I cover files in an external folder (e.g. in the desktop) and don't renounce them then it makes me change the fields; if instead I renounce the file together no longer makes me change the property in question...
Can you tell me how to protect or protect the files contained in this library folder?

library folders are defined in the project file:

 

[exxon]

you can't edit a library file from within a project that uses that part.

creates a "free" project (resident in the library root folder) with which to edit individual files.
