Hey, everybody.

I would need advice on a simulation that predicts the study of the structural holding of a component (in fiberglass with 6mm thickness to start and with shape reminiscent of a fish) subject to a hydrostatic pressure of 10 atm (the component must adage under water and the 10 atm are a limit imposed in favor of safety not having to exceed 20 meters of depth).
my idea would be to study the semi-guscio, to bind the section( prory the surface, or lines in case of shell element, on which the sampling should be drawn in a technical drawing) and to apply pressure on the outer surface.
what is feasible??? Are the solutions obtained reliable? ? ?
Is there another way to proceed in such a case? ?

every advice on the methodology to follow is very welcome, since I am not a great expert on patran, but that I am trying to learn with commitment and dedication (and I must say that the software is very nice)n
the discussion continues here:http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=35591grazie.
Gerod.
