superfice copy

Hello everyone
I have a rectangular prism with a 8th puff, having to take it with the handcuffs (for those who are not a moulder are two solids that serve to carry the piece under the mold)I would not like to be able to remake the profile you can do it with a superfice copy and then use it to dig the cap or there is a simpler and faster system?

I'm not very clear about the question, but I try to answer you anyway.

If you need to reuse the same surfaces in another piece, just copy them and, in the new file, amounts as part copy.

If instead you want to reuse the same surfaces for another cut, in the piece sex, you should see the geometry of the piece but I think the road is always copying the surfaces and then move them/specchiarle/ec... and then a boolean.
