switch from geometric group to partbody

Hello everyone, I have a piece created as a geometric group, but I have to extract it from another piece. from geometric group does not want to know to extract it.
So I wanted to turn it into a partbody, but if I try to use the function "close a surface" it tells me that it wants a body and therefore it is impossible to use it.
How do I do that?
