I'm sorry, but why don't you just make the project straight with revit? personally I have never used autocad and the few times when I am obliged to charge it to open dwgs of colleagues I make mess. I went from the drawing table to a three-dimensional modeler for architecture a long time ago, and I never felt the need to work with autocad. Then, around 2000, I arrived to revit after examining the competitors of that time, which were not many. the only problems with revit I had them in the modeling of construction reliefs to be restored: irregular planes, walls of different thicknesses, out of lead, strange openings, etc. but we have always solved problems, (well or bad) revit is not perfect, but it is a good help for our work.
