Hello everyone, I am a mechanical engineering student and I have a problem with solid edge, I hope you can help me. I am doing with other people a project of a pressure vessel for an examination, and the 3d design of the model we would like to do it with if. Now, the sizing of the container we did it in excel and the results are clearly derived from some formulas, so we thought to use the solid edge function that allows to bind the quotas of a model to a file of excel. All right, the process is simple, but at the end when it comes to saying "ok, pass me the file" we realized that if it has a limit according to me to say little ridiculous. the formula with which I attach a variable to a cell is "file address, row, column", then for example "@'c:\users\mauro\documents\uni\parte5. ♪
if I had to move the file of if and the .xls file from my pc to that of a professor/companion course, he clearly would not have the folder c:\users\mauro, so if you would go looking for the cell in a place that does not exist! It really seems ridiculous that you can't tell the program that, for example, the excel file is in the same folder as the .par file, so that moving them he can always follow the source file.
Is there a way to solve the problem? It seems to me really absurd that a program arrived at the 21st version presents such a problem.. .
Thank you in advance
