Hello, everyone.
I would have this question to ask you: is it normal that the waiting time for a drawing print (put at the table of a 1mb detail) is never less than 20-30 seconds? !

Of course if I have to print an overall of 2-3 mb on both printer and plotter it takes a few minutes. . It's very uncomfortable and boring.

Are you sure it's solidworks?
when you print, try to save on files.
If it takes the same time, then you're right.
otherwise you must see your print server and network as it handles these hpgl files.

I would say it's out of place, prints are much faster.
