Hello, everyone.
in this period I am dealing with verification in the field of the conservation status of pipes containing fluids, for the purposes of the checks prescribed by dm329/04
the rules and practices of reference suggest a preliminary screening of the pipe to identify areas at higher risk to be subjected to in-depth investigations.
given the complexity of pipe lines for fluid distribution in industrial sites, I wanted to evaluate the technique of termography as initial screening.
obvious that this technique should give me indications if fluid, pipe and external environment are at different temperatures: I wanted to ask those who have already experience in the thermographic technique if, in case the temperature difference is limited (for example, sun-exposed pipe and fluid in circulation at room temperature), the existing heaters are able to appreciate something. I have seen on the various precision catalogs up to the tenth of °c (that said among us it seems a madness).
Thank you.
