Hello everyone and good holidays... .

Would someone know how to give me tips to request/download software trial versions to perform csw certifications?
I was going to make the cswp sheet and the normal cswp (because it's free) but I don't have the software.
can I download a school edition version even if I am not a student?
My local dealer said he can't give me a trial version:confused::confused:

I don't know. .

Thank you all.

I will try to directmete the solidworks to padova bypassing the dealer.
Let's see if they tell me something more thorough.

retailers are reluctant to provide trial version because they want to make the sale.
However the product is available on the solidworks website by filling out the form.
If you call Padova they'll tell you the same thing. I think there's download after request. otherwise I think they send you dvd but you pay for the expedition. without installation code works 30 days.

Hello mechanicalmg,

I compiled the form on the site sw but do not download anything. They tell you you'll be contacted by their dealer.
However, it is absurd that there are training programmes but there are no tools available to do so.
today I call to Padova we see what they tell me....

to look so are the original installation DVDs in various sp.
as always:
- without installation code lasts 30 full days, just the dvd of anyone
- any type of license, premium, professional, standard, student, minchiam....serves a code purchased from the retailer and lasts what is written on the contract.
- that I know never existed the demo version

This is why your dealer does not listen to you.... on the portal there is written:

trial versions of solidworks 2017 are intended for evaluation by commercial users, exclusively for purchase purposes.

so they will never give you free to try 30 days.
then complain that people pirate programs... .

However sometimes it happens that having pirate licenses, if you are company, they send you an email from a debt recovery center of the land with threats of legal appeal if you are buying the license. theoretically it is a scarf that has no immediate consequences. But in the end, you are obliged to call the dealer and buy the license.

You could try registering on the solidworks website and see if it shows you solidworks downloads in addition to free things, since you are not a client I don't know what they will download from the portal.

qui https://www.cad3d.it/forum1/threads/20436-versione-trial-solidworks/page3 find the discussion we had done long ago. They deserve to buy it no more....and you're told that one who uses it a lot for work... but organizational policies only fan angry.
It's like the license speech that can't be reviewed by one owner to another. It is a pity that the European standard allows it and, therefore, with a bit of malumours and troubles, we can see it again.

Hello mechanicalmg,

I registered on the site but, as mentioned before, they don't let you download anything. they answer you with an email in which you will be contacted by a dealer as soon as possible. So we're in charge. I'll call Padova next weeks so I hear them directly what they tell me.
Of course they're ridiculous. . .
I could do it at work certification but I don't want to do it during normal working hours or less explain to the owners what I have to do with their equipment outside working hours.

However in faqs clearly write that it is necessary to use a commercial version of the soft to certify, unless you are students.

in the past years I was at some fairs where there were software house of cad and never once gave me a dvd containing their program (trial)

for these various reasons we jump on the programs free....magari till you are kids a way to have the student or the smanettonen you do....poi you grow and you do not want to have troubles and you pass if you can to cad free (freecad, draftsifht....) or to cad with licenses from a few hundred euros.

They're idiots, he's known.
There is no need to kill those who want to regularly try a program and become a potential customer to protect themselves from piracy, because so much on the net you find everything working without having to go ask anyone anything.
I don't say they should give you the dvd with a lot of packaging, but at least make it available for download without so many menades.

commercial policy of m... as they claim to spend 7000 euros without trying and learning the software. training nothing or almost texts practically introvabile luck that there is the forum..... Fortunately I managed to find some courses funded to learn some software. for certifications try to look on the site uff to the course I remember they told me that you could also do with a pc with softwer pirate disconnected and another without sw connected to the exam. Maybe someone has experiences about it
