Hello, everyone! I am new in this forum and I just started working with solidworks. I have a scan, I had to import it into solidworks, I don't know if it's worth buying questo plugin, is it easier to use? I can import stl anyway, and the plugin is not cheap. now I'm using feature works that recognizes the cloud of imported points and turns it into a model. does not always work properly, maybe this will be better? do I understand that the plugin adds some geomagic software tools to solidworks? Thank you!

What makes you think you can't write geomagic for solidworks? that is a market reference reverse engineering tool, so if you need to transform a cloud of points into a geometric model it is definitely useful and effective. the cost is the consequence. rather I would like to see what is generated by featureworks.

then there is another tool that you did not mention: if you have at least the professional version of solidworks, in the package there is also scanto3d.
