Hi, since yesterday I can't use a file (36mb), i.e. I open it but at the first and minimum action it will fit me, which doesn't happen with the other files of the same program. I tried to save the job with another name and copy it but I can't recover the document I've been working on for weeks.:frown:

in rhino there is the _rescue3dmfile command that tries to read all the geometrical entities of a corrupt file.
of course only parts that do not have problems are recovered, and discard those that the program cannot solve.

I give you the short version of the procedure

open rhino, without loading any files, and then give the command _rescue3dmfile.

the command will ask you to open the file you want to intervene on, select the corrupt file (of course works on a copy of the original file).

you have 3 options

>what would you like to do ( analyze list recover ):

choose the _recover option

After reading the first entity that unconscious in the file, rhino asks how it should proceed.

> found geometry object 1 (tl_brep) at offset 35414. action ( readmultiple readall skipmultiple quit):

choose the _readall option that reads all valid geometries by discarding corrupt ones.
at this point saves the file , with a different name

Thank you! it worked, unfortunately it joined all levels (it is a mesh from a cloud of quickly processed points that I have to rebuild through surfaces to form at once on a cruise). . .
