Good morning, everyone.
My name is Franciscan and I am new to this forum.
in my company we still use as design software gbg6. given the difficulty in finding new licenses, but especially in the exchange with suppliers, we are considering switching to a new software only for drawing 2d.
the hypotheses are two:
  • autocad lt
  • thinkdesign - but only part 2d
according to you, given the only use of the 2d makes sense to take thinkdesign only with part 2d, or it is better to take autocad.

Thank you.

incredible, this is really new to me. in any case, in the company where I work we have cestinato adesk autocad to pass to zwcad, which costs much less and has exactly the same functionality, besides being 100% compatible with the standard dwg and dxf. for the moment we are 100% satisfied with the choice, indeed we should have thought before to save thousands of €.

So many years ago it was called thinkdraft.

I would go on thinkdesign 2d, at least read you without problems .d format

You should do some evidence on large files to see how it behaves.

exact, for those who have used or are using gbg it is definitely worth opting for thinkdesign 2d.
knowing dpt, first of all we need to understand the "formules" with which the program is sold, and I imagine that the canon will not be more economical because in all cases "they must try" with the complete solution 3d. if instead you have to find a direct alternative to autocad, then zwcad without thinking about it 2 times, since you can also buy a version, pay it one time and use it to life (to spend money every year breaks a lot of pockets).
