Bye.
I read that the threads on the malleable cast iron fittings (the ones from hydraulics) are conical gas threads (the external ones) and cylindrical gas threads (the ones inside).
I was wondering, since I have to make a tube with a male thread to be connected to a 90° curve if I have to do it by force with a conical thread or if it can still be cylindrical.
Can someone tell me if this is indifferent? Are they going to lie down anyway?
Thank you.

Yes do it quietly, they are "interchangeable".
of course it respects all the characteristics of the gas thread.

Also on the market you find male gas fitting indifferently conical or cylindrical. both mate to the same holes..change the fittings for the seal.

Hi, fere.
as said sampon are interchangeable the cylindrical and conical threads. Usually conical threads are blocked by teflon or hemp depending on the apllication. cylindrical threads are not automatic locking, so often you use seals (o-ring) under the head to ensure the seal or in other applications only teflon.

It is obvious that a cone in a cyclical is forced to stop at some point.
