tip for cavity filling

I'm Michael, and I'm a management engineering student.
Recently I am participating in a project of my university in collaboration with the civil hospital of Brescia.
I'll explain the subject quickly:
from patients who have trouble with trachea, we are trying to reconstruct the trachea in 3d and then produce stents that give relief to the sick.
to get trachea in 3d we use invesalius software.
This allows us to export 3d surfaces in magics (of materials), where I can work on surfaces, improve them, etc.
once obtained the trachea model, I carry it in .stl to open it with solidworks and to try to create the internal mold of the trachea.
Can I ask you a suggestion to create the mold?

I add that I have a lot of difficulty managing files because they are made up of many very small triangular surfaces. solidworks tells me that it cannot import the slate and therefore I am forced to divide the trachea into several parts (more horizontal flaws) to be able to open the various files with solidw..

I have not tried and therefore you will be the caviar, but if you install the tspline plug-in for solidworks, the import of the stl file should generate a workable solid.

nothing keeps telling me that the sl is made up of too many surfaces. I'll try with a bit more powerful PC hoping it'll make it, but I doubt it. .
to fill the cavity and then create say the negative part of the hole do you have any suggestions?

when will we learn how to insert images and files correctly?
and yes that in the regulation is clearly explained:_ _
non you use links to external sites, imageshack etc..
fill the pages of huge photos, weight the server and risks to bring you behind cookies, warm, spyes etc. etc. (I have paxxe full of pop ups telling me to be the millionth contact, I won, play at the casino, click here.. etc.).
I deleted the photos; I used to replace them with the correct ones. try again by posting another message by attaching the images as you must.
