hello to everyone, I introduce myself quickly explaining why this topic.
I am a 21-year-old boy who graduated in the school of construction environment and territory, unfortunately I understood only at the end that I did not care about the construction field and so I spent the last years studying badly willingly and finishing the course of studies with the minimum of votes.
Since the design I like and draw to the pc as well, but not having a grade of maturity equal to or greater to 70/100 I cannot enroll in any competition and therefore, excluding desing (because it seems to me something au pair with a high school), I enrolled in mechanical engineering (because the scope point is industrial design and this course of studies seemed to me the most suitable).
Let's say that the university is not going bad, but not good, i.e. I have the average of 24 but I am back a year with the studies, because I should start the second year, this year, with two exams on eight of the first year still to pass.
after a session of four very demotivating exams (meaning grades 16-17), because I haven't even passed one, I'm seriously considering finding myself a job and leaving my studies (to be economically autonomous) and not waste time (because I would graduate a minimum of a year and a half and out of course), or find me a job and continue university with single courses (especially I can give a maximum of 5 exams a year and therefore to do a three-year).
as a job I was always oriented in the field of industrial design, but I do not know where to orientate myself and having no title, I do not know who would look after me.
I know that who did the school "for geometra" like me, can practice on a study for about a year and then can do a test to become free professional.
Now, I do not know if it exists in the industrial field and if I can do so with that I will measure the title that I have available, but I am really convinced to enrich my luggage with specialized courses; I know that there are courses that attest you as an autocad designer and I think there are also for rhino, solidworks & co., but I don't know if with what I have available, now, it is feasible or worth it.
if it can serve:
I did 5 years of autocad 2d in high school and after 6 months of internship I arrived to have a good mastery of the program.
at the university last year I followed the mechanical drawing course (passed with 28) and between the optional subjects there was a 10-hour course on moneywroks; Let us say that I am not able, because there are few hours given available, but it does not seem conceptually very different from autocad, in fact I was not difficult to learn.
at home I learned to use sketchup in free time given its simplicity.
Let's say if I put myself now (except sketchups), I wouldn't be as fluid as last year or two years ago, but with a few days of practice I think I can recover the dexterity I once had.
