Bye to all,
I come from the 2d and I would like to understand one thing, you may seem trivial cmq I ask:
to draw for example a mouse rather than a tank of a motorcycle, what difference is in drawing it with the mesh surfaces (building lines etc) or drawing it in solid modeling (starting from a cube and face it, or from a sphere and modeling it )?
I have worked on cnc machines so unfortunately very often rigiono cad-cam.
and what is the sw route to make? Can I do everything with autocad?

Hello and welcome
to model a mouse, or any design object, it is better to use the surfaces and in particular the loft.
there are still much more suitable software for this type of modeling: rhinoceros, maya, 3d studio max, etc... However with a little patience and practice you can do quietmante everything also with autocad.
even to make it would be better to exploit the vray of 3d studio but it depends all on the quality you want to get. even in this case autocad is more than acceptable.
What do you mean by sw?

Hi there
First of all compliments for your portfolio, I took a look at your site.
You're already putting me in crisis: what's a loft?
Take into account that I wanted to do some practice of industrial design (that never happens...) but my goal is the interior design, set to what I understood where the rendering. from what you told me I was convinced that with 3d studio and rhinoceros I can do a bit everything.
by sw I mean software.I wonder which ones are best to (in sequence) design, model, render.
thanks for your time!! !

the loft command look for it in the online guide (f1)
for design, as already said, it is better to orientate on other more practical software for organic modeling

I saw the loft and started thinking I need a modeler. . .
cmq thanks for the advice!! !
