Bye to all,
I ask if it is possible from a multibody file to be able to create a set by transforming solid bodies into parts.
I believe that solidworks can be done and I wonder if it is possible in nx.
thanks in advance

Of course yes: assembly>create_new
if you do not select geometry creates a blank file inside the part, otherwise you have the option to select a geometry with all the connected features.

Hello ;-)

as you describe you should select to one by one every single body.
in solidworks you can rename the bodies and have a set with so many parts as the solids that made up the source model.
Does this exist on nx?

Sorry, isn't that the same? how do you rename individual bodies in sw if not selecting them to one by one?

in solidworks use insert > functions > saves the bodies.
Is there something like that about nx?
I'm sorry I'm not clear, but I'm just testing it.

Hi.
If you don't add anything else I don't think you can succeed.
nx has so many qualities but today it sins a lot in the management and commissioning . we hope better in the next releases.

I have used sw, if and other cads not intensely like nx, I can guess about it qualities and defects but I have never allowed to criticize them just because I do not know them.

Hi.

Today's fashion is critical, I have always clashed.

But I try to answer .

if solidwork with the procedure you have written allows you to save all multibody in single files .. how does it name every single file?? to his pleasure ? if so you will then have to rename the individual files as from corporate internal coding .. hope .
otherwise the created file marasma will never be compatible with a third person.

said this, I don't know how your way of working but usually nx allows a very powerful use of assembly and multibody interaction between multiple partfiles inserted together.
that's why it often teaches that the correct way is to start immediately with a combination when you model objects composed of more solids. Moreover the insertion of standard parts allows you not to have doubles within our set but only repetitions. If you have created a flange with 150 screws .. sw creates 150 parts? I hope not!!!
Therefore the procedure of baskets is absolutely the most correct if we work with nx, in those cases where it was "necessary" create a second body within the same part file.

There is another system, but in my opinion it does not make any sense, and it is to export in step and reimport .
depending on the settings you will have all the solid si files unique, but I repeat it doesn't make any sense to work like this.

I believe that spending a lot of money for nx and nothing in training is like taking a 400cv tractor to cultivate a field and pretend to do it with just one row!!

It's my opinion, and don't take it any longer.
software grows thanks to the criticism of experienced technicians and beginners.
thanks for the answers.
