torsion of handrail

Good evening, my name is Teo, I'm doing the blacksmith (rought iron) I would have a question about the possible use of the solidworks twist command: I have been delivered the drawings of a staircase with portions of helical parapet, to turn the handrail (in brass ) I wanted to follow 2 step , first to turn the handrail on the floor and as second to place it in the dime made by a sheet with the inclination of the staircase and curved by radius to perform the torsion of the handrail.
to find ray in the plane of the handrail how can I use the torsion command to place it all on the same floor and therefore have the rays developed? Thank you.

I can't see the object from your description.
an image would be useful to better understand what you want to get. if you then attach the file you could also do some tests with the various options of the twist function or using other functions.

write in the profile the version of solid so that it is known if you can open it
