I have various areofotogrammetrics in ecw format, and I wanted to know if there is a way to turn these files into dwg format. I tried with autocad map 3d but nothing happens. the image always remains image.

can be both ctr, photoaeree and img, however ecw files is not possible to convert them into vectors as they are tif-style image formats but very tablets

This is false. if we talk about ctr in ecw format (very strange, but the world is beautiful because it is varied...) raster design is able to transform raster into vectors. It's a bit of a snoopy procedure, but you can do it. If we talk instead of aerial photos, you better not lose your sleep!

It is highly unlikely that you have a monochromatic .ecw on the line, unless the author (i.e. who gave you the file) sniffed an entire glue tank.

Since you have a tone image of gray or full-color rgb, vectorization is not only impractical, but also devoid of any logical sense.

said in other words, your .ecw file must serve you as a raster background in autocad, on which to base you to draw various vector objects.

cmq does not exist a vectorizer that gives the result that one expects.
