Good morning to all:
are novice of sw 2010 coming from inventor.
I would have some questions to ask who would answer me:
1) the most banal: there is a command or a macro sw per
order parts in featuremanagerdi a set?
2) In inventor there are parameters; I saw that in sw they exist
the equations but I cannot associate an equation with a processing
but only to sketch elements.
Let me explain better with a very simple example: Washer.ipt
(the .ipt extension matches the .sldprt extension)
with inventor, I can create a part (rondella.ipt) in which I establish
very simply 3 parameters: for example
d1 = internal
d2 = outer ø
d3 = thickness
to these 3 parameters check the default values.
every time I want a washer, all I have to do is open
the washer.ipt file and simply and very quickly change
the 3 values d1 d2 d3.
of course this example is banal, but you can create parts
also of a certain complexity and with all processing (also
ø and depth of holes for example).
I tried to do the same thing with sw equations, but I couldn't
to assign a value that defines (to return to the banal example of
Washer) thickness of the same.
in the sense that I assigned 2 parameters to ø int and ø est in the sketch,
but it does not allow me to assign values to the thickness of the extrusion.
Someone could give me some tips.. ?
Thank you for your attention.
p.s. I'll ask you again with questions that someone might
seem trivial, but coming from another software, I can't
to do things that I gave for granted, and probably unaware
the utility of some features that are present in sw and are missing in inventor.
of course, it is not my intention to propose the old and sterile
discussion about which software is best
