Good morning to all,
I have recently enrolled in this site that I find very interesting.
However having just started working with v5 cat, I begin to have the first problems in the design phase...in particular I am making a spindle tree with hole passing an internal profile with different geometry and diameters...my problem after having realized the external profile and obtained the solid through a rotation on the axis is in understanding which operation is better to realize the profile of the passing hole. . .

I think I can make a solid and remove it from the previous with Boolean operations.
I also ask this question to better understand how it usually works to draw these kinds of mechanical details, as I have not yet had working experiences with catia v5.

First of all welcome. your problem can be solved by following two different paths: 1) draw directly the profile of the section of the hollow shaft and then carry out a revolution around the symmetry axis. 2) on the solid that you have already realized perform the holes with the appropriate command (you find it in 3d environment) at different length and diameter.
