trim / split

I've been to nx8 for about a month. first I used nx2 (a nice jump :smile
I have a problem with trim and split. first I could trim or split a solid by selecting a composite face (sew) from multiple skins stitched a priori with just one click.

Now instead it seems that I must necessarily select every single face that crosses the solid despite having sewn them before. Is there a way to select the set of stitched faces during trim or split?

I recommend you a nice upgrade course, the versions are so many! and some topics, with such a long jump, you will find them completely changed.
you must use the selection filters; inside the selection bar you will find "Solid Faces".

Thanks pizza3d I didn't really get there. for the course I have requested a quote but 100 euros per hour are really too many for our reality. I hope to find someone with more affordable prices soon. If you know someone a little more reasonable, let me know.

ever heard of "selection intent"?

Anyway x 1€ I explain to you:biggrin:

when you have to select the faces that trim/split, as soon as you clikki one comes out close to the curson a curtain where you can decide the selection intent (single face-tangent faces-body faces), but if you move away immediately.
at this point you can put on the selected face, right mouse button and you can change the intent.
or before you select the face, do the right mouse button and exit the "selection minibar" (the command I like most absolute:biggrin and in the curtain set "faces of solid".
