I have noticed that, in a presentation file (ipn) , if a set has welds, these are not displayed

Did someone else notice (I have iv 2017 r.3)??

Do you have a solution? ?

Thank you.

I don't want to say anything stupid, but those who design software manco know what that software needs. I suppose the designer thought: "But if an object is welded how do I explode the welding? Welding attacks two objects and does not let them move among themselves!" workaround invented on two feet: If you have to make a soldering and then explode it, make a copy of the axieme and remodel it, then explode this second together. If I think of something, I'll let you know.

Maybe I didn't explain. .
Imagine 2 welded brackets, (only iam file) inserted in a assembly group with other brackets and screws ec...
making representation, of course the frame will not explode, but the other components will be.
the problem is that in the ipn file (representation or explosion) welds cannot be seen at the graphic level

Hello, matteo,
inventor in ipn does not display welding cords even in 2017. the topic had already come out on the forum a few years ago. I bypass so:
"Export your welded set in step, reopen it with inventor; you will see that welds have become a multibody part. save the new together.
At this point you can choose 2 roads: replace in the axieme to explode the original welded with the one saved in step or replace the welds in welded with the multibody part obtained from the step."

I don't use welds, but I would do the same. better, perhaps, save in the original axieme the soldered welds

welds are bodies that are created during assembly, they are not already made before assembly.
Sincerely, I have, it also seems logical that in an explosion there are no welds.

everyone is free to think of it as he wants and to manage his own components as he likes:-)
For my way of seeing, a welded subaxis, for its indivisibleness, is as if it became a single component, which therefore must present all processing, welding cords included.

here the last discussion on the forum autodesk and its posts that, perhaps, can clarify what we mean.http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/weld-visibility-in-presentation/idi-p/4810583I save the welds from the step in the original axieme and imposed them in the distinct components as "reference". in this way in the distinct base are ignored, as well as in the calculation of the mass. Moreover, going to overlap the real cords, do not bother.

greetings
