unselectable layout windows

Hello everyone, for some dark reason I can't select the layout windows within my paper space. I think I've unintentionally activated some property, and now I can't handle it. Does anyone know the solution to my problem? thanks, ilbona:smile:

In my opinion it is not that you can't select, but simply the selection is not visible.
put the highlight variable to 1 and then command _preferences -> selection -> active grips

I tried both methods but it doesn't work. the layout windows were set on the defpoints layer as I didn't want to see them in print. Now, by selecting all layers, trying to freeze and thaw, turn on and off, lock and unlock, the windows start again to be selectable and return to see the grip.
Could it be a mistake due to the fact that I'm working on a file originally turned into dwg from archicad?

After deactivating or freezing layer 0 in an autocad drawing file, objects placed on the defpoints layer cannot be selected and modified.
