Hello.
I set the parameters in excel and when I collect the file all the dimensions are changed in the elements ... but when I adjust the file in excel (and save) automatically the update of the values in inventor is not made.

I forget to do something?

Thank you.

test with "upon" button (in inventor)

hmmm ... I have verified that if the file amount then I activate the function updates ... otherwise if it remains "outside" I just don't find the way to make it understand that the excel file has changed ... even if the axieme reboots.

hmmm ... I verified that if the file I care then I activate the update function... otherwise if it remains "Sternal" I can't find a way to get him to know that the excel file has changed... even if he reboots the axieme.
It's bettersimply use the "connect" function from the parameters window.
I don't remember where the excel file is...

I mean collego ... in fact there is both "connect" and "incorporate" ... the incorporation creates a excel file that is saved by inventor and no longer refers to the excel file of departure. the problem is that I had the excel file in multiple elements of the axieme and I had to change them all so I don't feel good .... I just have to have an excel dam change.

Hey, guys, I have a problem like that. I press that it is the first time I apply an excel folder to an ipt file.
I followed the procedure, square meters when I connect to the parameters only the link line to the excel file and not the variable entries.
I also tried to incorporate it... where can the error be?
I use inventor 2012 with excel 2010
Thank you.

oh,gabner, but how many posts are you asking the same question?

However, did you check that excel entries are written exactly as the parameters on inventor?
I don’t use the link to excel from a lifetime (I don’t like it, I prefer to create a .ipt file of only parameters to connect),but I seem to remember that just the difference between a tiny-middle to not work. . .

Hello, gabner,
when you connect the file verify that the cell indicated in the excel file choice finer (default is a1) is exactly the first cell of your table present in the excel file.
greetings

I posted in 2 discussions because I was panicking .. I apologize.
I came to the head. (but I lost a tot of time )
in the column to the names were good
in column b the data were obtained with the search() formula and in column there were comments.
as I solved:
1 attempt, I moved the data in column c and in column b I put the formula = a c, in the parameters the names appeared but in yellow.
2 attempt, I moved the data in column d and in column b I put the formula = to d .... it works perfectly.
Can someone tell me why? Isn't there any comments close to the data?
thanks cmq of interest

I think the only thing that can be in the column next to the numbers is the units of measurement.
