Good morning, guys! !

I sent the inventor demo 2011 hoping that passing from a 32bit (inv.2008) to a 64bit there was a consistent improvement in performance instead. ..this great difference I didn't notice it, the pc and always the same so I think the culprit is him...:mad:

now since the budget does not allow me to replace the pc with megaworkstation and software update you would do?

..and especially what advantages has inventor 2011 compared to my 2008? ? ?

I remind you that my problem is the management of assemblies with 50,000 details

from 2008 to 2011 the news is definitely a lot. I have recently installed 2011 and unfortunately put it in the attic immediately as at the level of graphic performance (Orbit Command) I had a remarkable worsening, so much so that I can not manage even too large assemblies (1000 parts 7000 recurrences) what instead with 2010 I can do well with assemblies from (2500 parts and 30000 repetitions). Note that the machine is the same (hp z400 64 bit 12gb ram - nvidia fx3800 1gb), updated drivers and inv settings too. assistance to this day doesn't know what fish you want, I don't even.

I didn't find big differences between 2010 and 2011 with orbit, maybe because
even with 2010 I couldn't make it turn right, (I only have 4 gb with fx 1700), but I repeat with 2010 I turn "mad" with 2011 continues to turn "mad".
@bich
the big differences between 2008 and 2011, instead, you find them in the sheet environment (travel control; explains and folds) in modeling (multibody; part fold command) in drawing (model replace control)
If I were you, I'd take him to the air.
p.s.
But how's your pc?

cable: eek:
It's a mega workstation... 12 gb ram should go like a rocket.
Maybe you should format:finger:

thank you all!

here are the features of my pc

intel core quad q9400 2.66
installed ram 4gb possibly expandable to 8gb
nvidia geforce 9800gt
s.o. xp professional sp3 , win7 ultimate
It's clear that with that card and only 4 gb, your 50,000 pieces don't turn them into orbit.
I suggest you (but I'm not in your pockets):
in addition to the upgrade I thought to expand to 8 gb the ram, but above all to switch to a more performing card. . . .

I seem to have solved the problem of graphic performance (on suggestion of assistance) by checking out the voice "compatibility" as seen in the image.

I was thinking about it myself;)

Any advice? ?

another problem... the very long time to upload and save the various files from what can it depend on? ?

- hard disk
-processor
- Yeah.

I don't have it on inv.2008 and if I had to buy 2011 I still have to consider well if changing the video card

mha, I'd do as stef_design says: a nice plan and reinstall..I know it's pale, but then it's better...

It is not a real problem, it was more a hope that with an updated version the prg became lightning!:biggrin:
I give you a couple of numbers on inventor 2012:

splashscreen startup time is 3 times faster compared to inv2011*;
inv2012 is 2 times faster compared to inv2010 to "exist"*;
thanks to multi-core support the start of a design view is 10 times faster compared to the previous version*.

*depending on system configuration
