Good morning.
I have a single folder with .sda files, .sdac, .sdp, .sdpc, probably derived from a "data save 3d" of different groups/parts.

I happen that when I try to open a group (.sda or .sdac) within this folder
There are missing files that do not allow me to upload the 3d.

I don't know how to call it.

I found out that to know what you lost on the street just type in the command line, immediately after the failed upload:
Code:
(display (cluster-manager-errors))
and the cad shows you the unique id and the name of missing files,
in my case one or more parts (.sdp, .sdpc) that make up the group (.sda, .sdac)

but in the unique folder these files are there! I'm putting them on video. premium of the group, then when I load it I have no mistakes.

question: can you tell the cad that these groups are composed of parts (or other subgroups) that can find all within the only folder?

I hope I could explain. . .

Thank you for your help!

tried many times, never succeeded. only valid solution was to see what was missing and upload it first "hand".
If you avoid making "strange" maneuvers usually does not happen, if you start saving different parts with the same name, the cad remembers to be teutonic and declares war.

I did a test.
from the single folder I put to video before the missing parts (find as told at the beginning of discussion with
Code:
(display (cluster-manager-errors))
) and then the group, so as to load everything.

then I did "save 3d data" of the group and overwritten in the folder both the parts and the group itself, using the same names.
In doing so, I have seen that if I directly reload the group, this time vien on without problems, as if in the previous "save data 3d" has been saved within the group the information of the location path of its parts.

I could at this point upload to video all parts, then all groups, do "save 3d data" of all groups, overwrite all files and I would have settled.
the problem is that I have thousands of files...

Unfortunately, this cad is designed to work with the pdm if you don't have the situation becomes critical.

if you don't have a pdm/plm I suggest you save the 3d in .pakage format (*.pkg)
This is a way that leads to the dark side of force, but...
You still have to be careful if you load the pkgs made by others.
how he supported hunter is better a pdm

Unfortunately a pdm still we do not have it and we arrange with pkg...patience. .
thanks for the answers

Among other things, I'm still laughing for this other day of reb_bl on the crucified side of the cad!

How many are you in ut? I would think about the pdm that increases productivity considerably for this specific cad. the standard cocreate (model manager) is fine and does not cost an exaggerated figure.

Have a good day!
and consider that I am "in love" of this cad!
spread and effective, suitable for those who make changes to the flight his belief and work without company standards.

we are few, but in the perspective of growth of the company I fear will be indispensable a pdm.
good to know that model manager is a good product, thank you.

eye that is at the end of development (as I also think I create/direct modeling, given the rarity of updates in recent years). probably will propose you windchill, but I never used it.

as pdm there is a well-known software house that makes a good product, with also normalized (nut invitations etc) together, with an ad hoc customization according to me there is no comparison.

We were talking about the pdm. if we put in other things the speech expands to infinity.

I had indeed expressed my opinion at pdm (base) and as I recommend a customization.
Obviously the more things you put into it the more difficult it becomes the evaluation.
I have never had the chance to use it, but reading here and there seems good.

windchill I believe it is a plm and not a simple pdm, so it follows all processes of product management and not only the "design", therefore a plm also manages orders, deliveries, stocks etc and costs considerably more.
