In the axieme I have a component I want to copy it ok I re-echo but then how do I make sure that the copied component if I change it apart!? Don't depend on that copy anymore? ? ? ?

other thing I have to create 50x50 thickness 5 of real lengths is there not a solid bookcase with already ready profiles? If not how to do it?

if the component is the same (the same file) you can make multiple configurations of the same, but obviously it depends on the type of changes you need. if you have a diameter 40 tube and you need it in different lengths then you can use the same part (tuo40x40.sldprt) in different configurations and in each config. you can have different features (holes, extrusions etc)
If the changes twist the part then it is best to make a new part.
if you want a copy of the totally independent part, open it and go up with your name by putting the flag on "save as a copy"; studied well the help on this point because there is to do some bad things in the morning if you did not understand the mechanism.

Try to see in the welded profiles, maybe there's what you're looking for, alternatively you draw the profile and make more configurations of the part, as I wrote you above.

Maybe change the old file and not the new one... If you save by name and put the flag on "Save as a copy" you find yourself with two identical components but by the different name (I want to hope that the name will change it...).
