within the same project, I have a set of 2 sheet metal parts created with parameters.
parameters are set within the parts.

I have to create other very similar ones, and I could simply change the parameters.

How do I do that? if I copy/neck the axieme folder and change the copied then it also replaces original parts and together.

Thank you.

Why?
Maybe I didn't understand, you said the parameters are part of their respective files, so if you change the parameters resident in a file, I don't see why they should change on another file.
It would happen if you had parameters on the external table connected to multiple files...

what perhaps happens is that the new axieme is always connected to the old parts, so opening the new axieme and changing the parts inside, you are modifying the old ones... I have made a somewhat twisted speech but I hope to be explained
However to have no problem you should create copies of the parts with different names, it doesn't change much instead to put them in different folders, especially if they are in the same project.

It's clear that if you do a lot of assembling with the same parts, then you can't change them ad hoc for a set without changing the part itself.
unless the change is to be done locally once the pieces are assembled; But this is not our case.
Maybe the solution could be using iparts.
bho, we wait for lumens from braunfish:confused:

No I meant to rename both the aid and the parts in it contained. . .
