when you go for example on the republic site with a mobile phone or tablet with android system, you are hijacked on the site for mobile devices m.republic.it, where all items are paid.

to see instead the classic republic site, with free reading, we must change the user-agent of the android browser, so that it makes believe to the site that we are using a normal pc.

to get this:
1) open the browser
2) type in the address bar: about:debug
3) open browser settings
4) go to the debug tab, and in the line "ua-string" or "user-agent", choose the mode "desktop" instead of the classic android.

nice advice; there is also an alternative, using a browser like dolphin browser that makes you change this setting with a couple of touches.

I think it doesn't work with all the versions.
I use string about:useragent and then select desktop mode.

but changing the ua of the browser the style remains that for tablet/smartphone or being no longer hijacked towards the mobile version becomes like that per pc?

It became the one per pc. It came back useful because I was setting up a 10" samsung tablet (which beautiful object!), on the mobile phone actually the sites become legible with greater difficulty.

as I imagined... sin only that everyone has now made these "apps" for a fee per tab/smart while if you use them from PC are still free.

among other things in the smart ones they do (to me turn the so-called!!!), is that they put the free apps to download and install, but in order to be able to use it you have to buy it or at least register for a fee! ! ! ! !
put it immediately on payment no, so much if you are not really interested then uninstall it, at least I do so.

ps: apart from this republic, what interesting apps used for android devices?

This is not an application: It's just a website that, if you recognize that you're using android, redirects you to the paid version, while instead it leaves you on that standard if you use a normal computer.

as mentioned above depends on the browser you use. with the default android yes, every time you have to in the address type that <<about: agent="" user="">> and choose desktop mode.. but just, every time. I also use dolphin (free version, more than enough) and this you can set it in "PC mode" once and for all.. but also with others there is this choice. becomes the same as using desktop PC and you don't think about it anymore.</about:>

warlike dolphin, with the flash player deactivated it seems quite reactive.
with the galaxy s2 the rendering of the pages is slightly "fucking" but it is a venial sin.

I thought it was the app that downloads from google playstore or the republic site

I noticed that on android, using the browser google preinstalled on the tablet (eh yes... I changed tablet and took one with android) it already gives me the possibility to choose "request desktop sites", so as for the republic site I am displayed not in mobile version but as pc, this at least on Android 4.0.3

this is also on normal pc browsers, on mozilla firefox for example go tools and click on "starting anonymous navigation", but the doubt remains... What kind of anonymity do you have?
Is it just not to leave traces on the site device that you visited or the history, or is there anything else?

should be just for the device you are using: prevents you from storing your browsing session data, including cookies, temporary internet files and history.. .
