variable self-completion of commands

Does anyone remember what the variable is about the self-completion of the commands?
It's a little controversial. Sometimes it may be annoying that when you type the first letters of a command (without uncomforting the aliases of the .pgp file), you will find a list of commands to choose from.... but other times it is extremely useful.... especially for commands that you use little and you do not know the alias.

Having started his career with autocad 10 (not 2010!) ... I long prefer the keyboard to the various icons and ribbons!
