Bye to all,
I first installed the vault client 2012 for inventor. when I login asks me server and database; Would you tell me what you mean by these rumors? considering that I am the administrator and that my workstation is not on the network with other computers or servers that contain licenses
What do I have to insert? and on databases? :confused

the vault is a program that is used to manage drawings including migration from one folder to another by copying the drawings without losing ties to the various axiemi, it is used to manage the projects by transferring details from one side to the other without creating cases etc. so even without a working group is still fundamental. yesterday I tried to login by entering as administrator username, in this case it is not necessary to introduce a password, while as server I tried to enter localhost but exits the following error message:
"autodesk vault 2012 is unable to detect data management services in localhost."
Can someone tell me why? as an alternative?

the vault you installed is "client".
to use it needs the "server" you will need to install separately.
if you install it on another machine on the network you will need to give it the coordinates like the name of the machine or its internal ip address, otherwise if you install it on the same machine where you use "client", then you can also write "localhost".
first you need to install the vault server though somewhere.

vault was born for collaborative environments, but in its basic version it also goes well for single-user posts, simplifying not little the management of parts and together with relative dependencies, without being bound to the classic organization on hard-drive, as well as semplicating the reuse of components and massive operations on files (e.g. management of iproperties).
