Well, we in the company use it, for now we use the basic version, we are evaluating the professional in such a way as to use a single tool, not only for technical office.
is in practice an archive where to save documents, not only drawings; like all pdms you have the possibility to check in and check out. we would like to start using it as "calderone" or in a parent folder, throw everything away and then exploit the various tags to search, but at 20,000 item the first slowdowns have already started, from assistance and autodesk have let us know that this is not the optimal solution to use the tool therefore, first of all you have to study well how to structure everything at directory level.

hi to all, for a couple of months I have been using the vault pro in a company where only I use inventor but buying a pro license you have unlimited free licenses with which other colleagues can see my 3d files also being able to manage all the office files also helps to keep the documentation sorted, it serves for revisions of the designs, via smartphone or tablet you can see a project while you are from a customer. Originally it had been purchased to do by means of the management and create distinct and various records starting from total inventors. Too bad that those who sold us the vault proved incompetent and unreliable and not having finished the configuration and without training course I am using a 20%. this because the pre-emptive costs at the beginning are rising to dismeasure. so I have cataloged everything well but the distinct I do as once exporting to excel from the table. In my opinion as a tool is valid and much more stable than other pdms I used in the past both for inventor and for solidworks also the phase of taking into account the drawings is lean. At this point I wonder if someone knows who could help me finish the job.

I use vault prof since 2013, has had several problems in past versions, now with the last one goes a little better. I finally realized that only a few things are good: management of links between the various inventor files, rename files and automatic numbering. management life cycles and very limiting revisions, vault prints handled awfully and also results with errors, unreliable! I would look for an alternative that will hardly work worse.

hi, no, with the migration to rel. 18 (we are always a year back than the last release) is back to working well.
to tell the truth we doubled ram and disk space of the server.
they do not center anything how many files in a folder, so much they arrange the various archive folders.
