verify nervated wire diameter

Hello, everyone.

How can I verify the diameter of a ribbed wire? ?
a possibility is to measure the length of a brush, weigh it and supposing the density of the material to obtain the diameter..

have you read the forum rules?
I see that:
1. you have not presented yourself (this is a general rule of good education)
2. missing data to your question:
- verify the diameter compared to what? traction, cut, temperature gradient?
- how a ribbed thread is made (I have no idea what it is)

I don't get ideas if you don't propose to be clear and specify better.
