hi guys, every time I want to see the volume of the solid in figure I go on analysis > mass properties.
is it possible to add a note to the screen or tree model so that, to any change of geometry, this is updated?
Thank you.

as I don't remember the system parameter for the volume I'm going to give you an alternative method.
given the mass parameter = pro_mp_mass
given also the parameter for density = mp_density
created the following report: volume=pro_mp_mass/mp_density
at this point you create the note that you can "stick" at any point of the model and in the text insert :
the game is done.
At this point I would say that the relationship I have indicated to you (volume=pro_mp_mass/mp_density) you can insert it into your start part and if you want to do a finesse you can create a macro that calls you the note whenever you need it.

p.s.: attentive to the units you want to get.

Volume=pro_mp_volume
cass... I'm old, it took that little ozzy nap. I heard you marry... is it true? ?

However stef, what I indicated makes you understand how the notes with parameters can be used and how you can relate system parameters.

I will also be a commercial now but the technician who is in me doesn't die. :-)

I get married in less than a month, I decided to parameterize my life totally!

Hey, guys.

I use another method to have various analysis on the model tree.

1) I do an analysis of the model mass properties
2) imposed "features" on the bottom left of the menu
3) I go on the feature curtain (top in the same menu), I define the analyses I want to hold (in this case the volume) and the name
4) I save it on the tree
5) I go to tree column settings, top left imposed as feature parameter type and create a column giving the name defined previously

so I will have a column in the model tree that indicates the desired analysis; inter alia I can also set the footer analysis so that it updates to each part change.

Bye!

If you're lucky to have the bmx module you can do it, otherwise you owe it by force to recall things as a relationship or in the tree columns model as a parameter.

Well the license I use where I work is the foundation (with wf5), but I thought it was a basic license. Am I wrong?

In fact the foundation is the basic license, to do that thing you should have the bmx module, but I checked and with my amazement I realized that they integrated this basic license function, before you could not do...well then if you can now there is no better way!
