viewer for ifc files

a client sent me a file with ifc extension that I should see to make an offer. Can't I just like someone to tell me what program was done with or if there is a viewer?

the ifc format is not native to any software, and is now used by most major 3d software and the syntax is dictated by a figure independent from the various software houses that gives a greater guarantee on the quality and "internationality" of this format of exchange.
