Good morning to all

as it is done (if it is possible to do so) to transform an axieme of "real" components (.ipt files) into an axieme of internal components (residents within the .iam....without external file)
(solidworks calls them "virtual" but in inventor I think I understand that the "virtual" are anything else.)

is a procedure that I use a lot in solidworks, as it eliminates the problem of "spam-components" on the disk during editing/redesigning

thanks for the answer

the concept of virtual component of inventor is true from the concept of internal component of swx. virtual means that I insert a blank "virtual part" as nonexistent as geometry but I can assign all the properties, example I insert the component 12334 with description: oil and quantity: 1 liter and put it in my mind.

the internal component instead does not save it on hard disk and allows to have everything inside a file of assembly without creating the parts.

thanks for the answer, until the "internal component" I arrived.

But...
is it possible to "switch" between inside and outside as we do in swx with the "virtual return" command to simplify the tree of the parts in the intermediate phase of project? ?

and if you...
How?

You should try... it's been a while since inventor I haven't used it. if I don't remember badly you can't choose save internally/externally. you can only include or exclude from distinct but everything is saved individually, except virtual components that are not real basically do not have solid geometry.
