Hi.
all the parameters I need to create them in a .prt file, or in a .asm file?

no, for the moment forgets access, one step to the fly.

creates a drw of a set and enter the separate table.tbl

table>list from file

surely you will appear a distinct with empty lines, at this point
mouse button in the cell immediately below the column header > properties, and change the instruction that appears to you.
for example if you click below the description you will have &asm.mbr.describing where I describe it is the name of my parameter, you give it to replace it with what you use.

e.g. &asm.mbr.pippo

do this for each column of the separate until you have all the information and eventually save the table.

for relations.txt copies the paragraph that you are interested in the relationship of the part and insert the main quotas instead of 0 in the parameters relative to the size

[Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep] [Bleep]
side 1=0
Iung = 0
sp=0

Good morning.

in both cases, except for the material that for a .asm naturally does not need

Hello, dani-3d,
I started defining parameters as suggested......

I definbited the type parameter and in the relazaion window I want to assign the values
commercial trade
commercial_lav
.... .
...... .

In practice in the design phase I want to choose through the combo the value to assign to it, to avoid any errors having to insert it manually every time.

What do I have to write in the relationship window?

Thank you.

to assign a value to a parameter through relationships the syntax is as follows:

type = "xxxxx"

in the relationship.txt file there are the types I use, which are formed by two numeric characters and a short description, in the distinct if I order them by type the most important details come at the beginning followed by those of minor valleys.

Hi.

I wrote:

cod_diseg = rel_model_name
weight=mp_mass())
volume = mp_volume(")
material_1=ptc_material_name

type=01_comm
type="02_comm_lav"
type="03_electric"

In practice I would like to be able to choose through the combo one of the three values assigned.

See Annex

I don't know the "combo."

if you put the three assignments in the relationship type will assume the value of the last instruction

Who knows if someone......... .

instead if you want to automatically read the maximum dimensions of the three dimensions of the part which system variables should I use?

while you're in the relationship mask if you touch the features on the sx you see the odds you need for the creation of the piece, if you click above the odds are iported into the relationship and you can assign them to a parameter

attached the window that I find myself, there is only an indication see red arrow
of the quota and clicking on it asks me "put quota to display".

I attach the image of the seen that you should present yourself when you are in the relationships and click on the features in the left tree. are the odds that I appear in the graphic area that can import into the parameters

if from the menu I make info -> model size pro-e gives me the length of the diagonal (see attachment) of the starting crude.

Now I would like to be able to assign the values of group to empty variables defined by me:

the base size, height, thickness of both the crude and the finished piece.

Ultimately I want to assign;

bg = system parameter
ag = system parameter
sg = system parameter

(G indicates the rough piece)

bf = system parameter
af = system parameter
sf = system parameter

(f indicates the raw piece)

In this way I could automatically have the data to export and to make cost calculations.

I'm trying to figure out where to go and find these parameters, but I just can't.

Do you have any idea how to solve it?

Thank you.

I prefer to import quotas also because if the piece is complex I doubt that pro-e gives a diagonal usable.
another solution is to raise relations in the table, which is like inserting them into the model, and importing the quotas you want

What do you mean to import quotas?

through the reports you can load the value of the quotas, both in the modeling phase and the drw, in the parameters simply by clicking on it with the mouse, without the need to do strange calculations.

I understand.......but I want to make everything automated, in practice if you can assign the info about the odds to the variables as I indicated above, the designer doesn't have to worry about having to go read the quotas manually.

having the quotas that are automatically updated with the project you are sure to have the data always updated to be able to use them in the calculation of the costs.

hi and good evening

Hi.
How do I view database parameters? to me the window turns out empty..:confused:

Thank you.

I use a start part with within the 3 length or distance analyses, these 3 sizes can be connected to a parameter.

I also thought about it, but I wanted to take a step further and leave the designer more free....... .

which programming language can be used with pro-e?
I would like to understand how to get to read the basic date of the drawing.

Thank you.

I basically already know how to extract structured data from a .txt file, but clearly it can also interest others. more than anything, it will be more trivial but I don't know, I don't know how to save the bom in a .txt file.

that file I posted I basically use it to avoid coding twice.
as I have access to the sql tables server of our management system I make a queries of settlement or update on the base table of the analog articles of sql populated or updating it with the parameters of the .prt proe.
probably in the near future I will go, starting from a .asm collection, to popular not only the table of the analogue articles, but also that of the distinct base, so that I do not have to do twice the distinct (in proe and in the management system).

As for the reverse problem (write from management to proe) I must understand well whether it can be productive or not for the company in which I work.
other potential of bees that are not access to data I have not explored them. However, if there is someone who has a problem I can look well at the properties and methods of specific bees objects.
Hello mad76,
I am also ventured into the intergration between pro-e and sql, and I look for material to amaze....

If you have material that explains how you plan in vb for pro-and I have it sent you?

I am currently using version 5 with 64-bit so, have you been able to test something with this configuration?

Thank you.

Hello madness76,

I can't find the vb_api_register.bat file to run.....

Can you help me? ?

Thank you.
