volume of a part

Good morning, I am new to the forum and solidworks. up to 3 months ago I used pro/e. I would like to know if you can insert in a note the value of the volume of the part, but update to every change. In my case I have to model a tank and without having to always calculate the mass properties I would like to check the volume value in real time at any change of any quota.

If you have the tank as a sheet, you have to draw a control volume by taking its geometry and try not to overturn it. in file / property / add what you need and call it as you want and choose as a volume variable. Clearly, you'll get your sludge and the control line.

the volume of the part is, if the volume contained, then you have to generate an internal solid that represents the volume and from them you extract the volume parameterically.

I tried. I knew I had to create a solid inside to simulate the volume, but I didn't know how to display the value. Anyway I created the volume property to which I associated the value of "sw-volume@poppi1.sldprt" and it works.

don't you first set the document units in dm3?
