wall problem - creare wall of solid

Good morning I would like to know if it is possible to transform a solid into a wall without going through the wall by surface. I explain my problem is the following, I would like to create a wall that ends with a sloping edge of 45° (a little like the frames of the paintings), but I don't understand how to do it.
