Hey, everybody, I'm getting closer and closer to rhino.
I would like to create a kind of grill with "waves" or mountains (depending on viewpoints) like this image:

Would you know how I can do that?

I tried with the cage but it's all too sharp. . .
advice? Thank you!

Hello, did you try with the t-splines plug-in? create a mesh of polygons that you go to change in real time by selecting vertices, edges or faces; with some evidence you would succeed in me to create what you want without going crazy with section curves or udt. then turn everything into nurbs. the demo has no time limits, but lasts for 25 saves.
or, perhaps a somewhat more slender system, if you are familiar with the organic modeling and digital sculpture, I recommend sculptris (free), now of the pixologic, that of zbrush to understand us; parts from a floor, you "colpisce" the surface you want, amounts it as .obj in rhino and you project us over a few lines so you find the section curves, then using the loft and patch commands you create the desired surface. as said the method is a bit cumbersome and not always from the results hoped.
otherwise if you do not want to use rhino, you may use various organic modeling software, type blender (free), silo3d (additional charge), way or maya (on page)
