weight in separate cut

Hello everyone
I have a small problem with the distinct cut of solidworks 2010, I have set to make the weight in the separate cut, but the weight that writes me in the table refers to the single weldelement, while always on the distinct saying that there are two or more equal details, how do I have to make the total weight of all the equal elements appear?
thanks to who will help me

small update, the weight is also wrong in the part, if I take the mass property tool to define the weight, solidworks brings back the total weight of the individual weldments as if there were no reps . Who can help me? ? ? ?

Sorry I was wrong, in part 3d the weight is correct, and only in the distinct that the weight remains reported to a single weldment, how to return the total weight in distinct?

I have no idea why you're wrong.

solidworks 2014 sp0 x64.

in the multibody part the weight is reported to the total weights.
in the cutting distinction are just the individual partials, which you can verify by saving the individual solids and applying the same material.
in the table you have the weight of the single piece, regardless of whether there is one or more of one equal, then you multiply if you want the sum.
It's always been like this, and I don't understand your problem where she is. It's a standard thing. then if you want something more but that doesn't really make a useful sense... well... This is what he doespeso singolo.webpproprieta.webptavola.webp

hello thanks finally an answer, the total weight of the pieces serves for the shop purchases that must know how many kilos of a particular profile have to buy, in the multi-body parts that design often there are for example of the ipe beams with welded of the dishes or other profiles, the office purchases must buy the profiles and want to know how many kilos it has to buy for single profile. I hope I explained. Thank you.

...uhmm... eye to the shopping office; better than the quantities to be supplied arrive directly from the technical office (and better to associate the lengths), as starting from "commercial bar" the individual cuts result a multiple of such bars and the indication of the total cut weight does not correspond to the "bar unit" necessary. the use determines the real necessity and that data must provide to purchases. then, just to have a table that displays totals (relatives), you just have to save the separate cut in excel where to add a column that automatically does the calculation by multiplying weight by quantity (or length. and group the same types of profiles etc.

Thanks I didn't think of a table in excell, but can I put it in the table? or I have to create a separate file and then insert it

right click on the table table. choose save and from the drop-down menu decide the format.

Hi.
I have a problem with the distinct cut.

in the separate cutting table I added a column to insert weights
but the values that sw insert are related to the volume of the parts

If I try to insert a material table, the weights are right. .
Someone can tell me why.. .
Thank you.

congratulations, already on the first post you broke 3-4 rules of the forum... if you had invested 2 minutes of your precious
time (our is worth nothing) your "second" post (what you wrote above, to understand us) would be accompanied by appropriate info.
Welcome to cad3d.it.

If you can't solve it, you have everything under your hand, how can we do it that we only have a tight explanation?
sometimes you can but also in maradona the ride from midfield has managed once on a thousand.. .

hello to all boys,
I join this debate so as not to reopen another view that in part the title does in my case.
work in the light metal carpentry sector and I asked you if there is a way to return the weight of the pipe used in kg/ml
Thank you.

not because it accepts only text and not operations
.
it should be possible to do it in the cutting distinct within the design. just insert a column, select the column header and add the equation. then save the table as a model.
in 2014 this possibility is not present because it seems to have been inserted in 2016, so I cannot verify it. I have verified the feasibility of separate materials

thanks for the massive answer.
This thing I solved by creating a new material and playing a little between the unit of measurement and the value of the mass.

Now I ask you another very strange thing that I can't solve.

- I realize a sketch in a part format and use a structural element tube 40x40x2
- except by name
- in the drawing tree I see the distinct cutting icon and opening the dart to its sx I see the welding icon with a set of strings that identify the name. below this I see an icon of a cube with next to the wording of the tube used, which in my case is 40x40x4.
- I create the drawing board, amount the separate cutting table and amount all the information I need.
So far everything is okay and no problem.

the problem is when I decide to change the structural element, e.g. from a 40x40x4 to a 40x40x2. in the separate table of cutting obviously should change description, weight etc etc., actually to me writes a series of ostrogote strings. the absurdity is that if I return to the side file, in the separate cut icon does not update me that of welding keeping the first structural element I created, in my case the 40x404x4. and I deduced that in the drawing board cutting table, the ostrogote strings I said before refers to this.

What do I do?

I found out the reason for the problem. :

I downloaded the .sldlfp files made by a boy here in the forum, I compared them with those few made by solidworks and I noticed that in the original ones in the properties was reported the description while in the downloaded ones was not present. so I inserted the description also in this not original and now everything works to normal.
the only breakup of boxes is that I have to open and update all files downloadedo_o

Now that I have solved what I said in the post above I find myself asking for another help to those who know more about me.

I created a distinct cutting table starting from the original sw called cut lisit and I saved it by renamed it.
I customized this table with the following columns:
(1) Article
2) Description
3) length
4) Weight

when I apply my custom table in a drawing board the first 3 points are compiled automatically while for the third point I have to proceed as follows.

- go to the side drawing,
- open the separate cut icon
- with the dx button click in the welding icon and open properties
- in the "cut list synthesis" add row with weight properties, type text, value/expression add mass from the drop-down menu
I close everything and go back to the drawing board where I then grab my custom cut table and the game is done.

the question is, does there not exist a way to save distinct cutting properties with the weight line I added?
