Hello everyone,
I would like to simulate the behaviour of a welded dog bone test by inserting 3 different materials to distinguish the "termically altered" zones, "unaltered" and "welding arm". I have assigned the three different materials to the elements of the corresponding areas.
the results however seem discontinuous..as if the elements with different properties constituted separate volumes....I attach an image
