I have a problem: recently I did a 3d smartplant course in a company, they explained that the software is recent and soon widely used, it was very interesting I realized that I would really like to work on it even with any condition of mobility, but the company no longer contacted us because of internal problems.
so I did a sp3d course without having worked on it but with so much desire to do it, but I don't know where and how to look considering that they seem to look for all senior designers.

Any advice?

presentation is good education. Let's say that if I sound the doorbell your minimum I introduce myself otherwise you don't open! It is not a written rule but who attends forums knows it!
What I don't understand is if you're looking for work. if so then you are not in the correct section. I didn't understand the question, will it be the age? ! !

This is the point .... sp3d comes from pds, but to me they say it has changed very much (better).
I've never seen it myself.

Please, but I have to point out some things.

1) you did well to do that course and do not discourage you
2) you don't have to learn pds

pds is a great program, but it is destined to die, its heir is sp3d that in fact was conceived by the same software house.
if you happen to learn it at spot ok but it is assumed that, all those who still use pds today, with time they move under his heir, that is sp3d.

3) learn autocad instead, that never hurts.
4) maybe take a course on plant design if you find it.

depends on the context you work in.
If you're a free professional, you need a degree with a lot of professional skill.
If you're an employee of a company, you can be a graduate of the conservatory. What matters is knowledge and skills.
It's just as obvious that a company in the industry is looking for candidates who have a degree in engineering, although exceptions are missing.
where I worked before my manager was a mechanical expert graduated in...lettre :biggrin:.
He was an extraordinary person, both professionally and humanly.

fulvio, I think mratty meant another thing: if you need to officially have the degree to design plants and that without it you can do only the designers.

I believe that he means the binomy (common place definitely wrong):
Bachelor = design
not graduation = only drawing
