Hello everyone.. .
I am once again requesting your support. . .
a customer sent me a 3d in various formats (.stp, .igs, .3dm), but the opening of these does not allow me to "manipulate" the object designed, that is it does not allow me to repair all faces and games in the diagnostic phase. to say all the object represented in these files I think has been realized with a program of grafic/design, and I fear that the reason for the faultyness that I respond is precisely due to this, in fact sw confirms that there is interconnection of surfaces.
the question is: how are I supposed to use the file that sent me?
Can you manipulate it somehow? I mean, can I "avoid" to work with imported parts and have in the feature manager the list of functions used in construction?

thanks to all in advance

you have to reconstruct the surfaces by hand, "to touch" the holes and then make them recognize as solid with merge surface.
from that point you can add/togliere features from the imported body.
it is not possible to import the native features tree for imported parts, only to attempt a reconstruction with featureworks, which will not however respect the initial logic of construction of the original piece.
