Hello.
we are a new company in the Italian territory, before buying autocad and buying courses I would like to know today what is the most used program to create 3d models. Thank you in advance!
 
with my research I found several programs, but I would like to know from someone more experienced so I move once and without wrong.

I make machinery so I never use complex surfaces. I know that in the nautical sector they are used enough both solidworks and catia, but it's a hearsay.

rhino costs about 1000€ but is not parametric, the other mentioned above exceed 6000/7000€
if you have to also produce 2d drawings.. rhino is not suitable

we are close to the projects of azimut, ferretti and micad. not for that I would like to preclude customers then that they will want other types of boats.

One thing is if your client is azimut, one thing is if you do the work of azimutut.

If you do the work of micad you need maxsurf.
If you don't know how your work will evolve, start with rhino, then who will live will see.

I have no interest in saying, my specific role or company information. are here to know which software, nowadays, is better to use to view cam/cad/cae files.
I would like to address my energies in learning rhino, since it seems to me the most used.
